Several stretches of this route are on moderately busy roads and would require extra care with children. It is suggested that you do a trial run first without the children, to assess it against their capability.

Weybridge to Hersham station

From the Quadrant, follow Church Street to the mini-roundabout by the church, and turn right into Church Path (footpath). Continue along the back of Churchfields car park, follow round to the right at the recreation ground, and turn left at the barrier. Turn right at the next barrier into Churchfields Avenue. Turn left into the busy Hanger Hill, then right at the top of the hill into Prince's Road. At the other end of Prince's road, turn right into the very busy Queens Road (using the pedestrian island if necessary), and left before the railway bridge into Oatlands Avenue. When the road curves around to the left towards Cleves School, continue along a path between the school field and the railway. This path emerges onto the busy Ashley Road; turn left, then turn right into Station Avenue. Walton-on-Thames station is 300m down this road (2.5km, 1.6M).

Continue down Station Avenue, and cross Hersham Road at the traffic lights, into Rydens Road. Follow Rydens Road when it curves around to the left, then turn right after the playground into Walton Park. Follow Walton Park until it joins Molesey Road by Hersham station (4.5km, 2.8M).
