Hersham to Elmbridge Leisure Centre


From Hersham Green, follow Molesey Road then turn right into Thrupps Lane. Follow round to the left into Mole Road, then left at the end into Old Esher Road. Cross the dual carriageway Esher Road at the pedestrian lights, turn right for a short distance then left into Scotts Lane (down the side of the Mercedes garage). Take a left into the end of Pembroke Avenue, then left at Claremont Avenue and right into Molesey Road. Follow Molesey Road (which is busy at peak times) for about 600 metres, then turn left into Arch Road. This becomes a path under the railway, then turn right at Colne Drive, right into Milton Road, cross Walton Park, and turn left into the unsurfaced Walton Park Lane. After 200 metres, turn right down a short path to York gardens. Turn left, then follow the road round to the right , turn left into Normanhurst Road, and follow it to the junction with Rydens Road.

An unsurfaced track starts as access to garages and deteriorates into a wide fotpath to Cottimore Lane. Vanburgh Gardens is wide and not too busy, following the reservoir towards Terrace Road / Hurst Road.

Cross Rydens Road into an unsurfaced track. This starts as an access road to garages, and deteriorates into a wide footpath - take care to give way to any pedestrians. It emerges at a mini-roundabout at the junction of Cottimore Lane, Shaw Road and Regency Gardens. Go right then immediately left into Shaw Road, and follow it until you take a right turn into Vanburgh Gardens, which continuues to follow the bank of the reservoir. When this road joins Terrace Road, turn left along the parallel access road until you approach a Terrace Road roundabout. Cross Terrace Road before the roundabout, and turn right into Waterside Road, which has a shared cycle path and footway on both sides. This leads to Elmbridge Leisure Centre and the Thames path (4.0km, 2.5M).

   
. Waterside Road runs from Terrace Road to the Elmbridge Liesure Centre and has a wide cycle path on each side..
