When he was a young man,
he had arranged one day for his fiancée to visit him, and to
meet her at the bus stop. When she arrived, she saw him across
the street, ran across to meet him, and was knocked down and
killed. He never really recovered, was always quiet and
withdrawn, and never married [4].
